What makes gathering together so meaningful?

For me, I love the pauses. The moments between the words. The times we gaze out into the distance or stare into the flames as we sit around the fire pit. Gathering together creates time and space to notice the subtle expressions of another living, breathing human being. It’s the sighs, the tears welling up in a loved one’s eyes, the rise and fall of our voices and a million other things.

When we gather, we remember -- the smiles, the laughter, the touch, the stories, the connections and the many other things we may have forgotten along the way.
